There : There are numerous reasons why a toe would become numb, ranging from something called a neuroma, which is a benign enlargement of a nerve near the toe, to a nerve impingement anywhere from your lower back on down the leg, to more serious things, like ms. I doubt it's anything like diabetes if it's only affecting one toe. I would advise you to see your doctor or podiatrist, who will perform some basic neurological tests to see exactly where the numbness begins and ends, and whether there are any significant neurological abnormalities. He or she may send you for more neurological testing to determine the cause of this. I hope this helps. Feel better!

Unusual: Numbness localized to little toe is extremely unusual. Consider this being a back issue. Console your local podiatrist.

Have you been : Wearing any tight shoes of late? A tight shoe could cause this and if so should go away. You could try soaking in warm water and epsom salt which will serve to vasodilate and allow more blood flow to the region to nourish nerves and see if that helps, if not consult with a foot doc.
