Any associated pain?: Possibly the start of a pinched nerve..If the third toe becomes involved get it checked out for sure good luck.

Possible : Nerve entrapment that could be from trauma or even improper fitting shoes. Visit a foot and ankle specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
