A member asked:

I did a lot of moving and lifting (moving into a new home) , i noticed this morning that the outside edge of my pinky toe is numb , feels like its asleep, no pain. i also have planter fasciitis in the same foot. related? or maybe a irritated nerve?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nerve irritation : With the heavy activity of moving will aggravate plantar fasciitis. The heavy weight puts more pressure on the plantar fascia This will cause swelling which could put pressure on the nerve to the little toe. Give it time and message with warm water soaks might help I would take Antiimmflammatory. I do not feel it is permanent.
