I have had a severe throat pain the past 2 weeks and the pain won't go away. how do i get the pain to go away? i have tried all the home remedies and nothing is working. i have noticed that my throat seems swollen and it is hard to swallow anything.

Since : Since you are having throat pain for two weeks you need to see a doctor. Things you can try for pain include advil (ibuprofen), tylenol (acetaminophen), and topical throat sprays that you can buy at the market. Be sure you aren't allergic to any of these first. Since you are having swelling and difficulty swallowing though you need to be seen as you may need antibiotics. If you have increased pain, fever, vomiting, rash, or can't swallow fluid or secretions then you would need to go to the er.
