Unfortunately, : Unfortunately, i think you should have this spot checked out sooner rather than later. From your description, you could have the beginnings of temporal arteritis. Temporal arteritis is the inflammation of medium sized arteries of the head and neck - classically seen in the artery over the temple. This disease can cause damage to the blood vessels that supply the head and neck and can affect blood flow in these areas. 40% of people will also have respiratory complaints such as a dry cough with this.
