You : You have the statistic backwards. The miscarriage rate for first time moms is about 12-15% and thus 85-88% deliver. Now the risk of miscarriage goes up with age and older moms have higher risks. Since you are only 28 (peak age for fertility), you should do well. If you have a miscarriage then the risk for the second pregnancy to miscarry is up to 25-30%. About 1/500 couples have recurrent pregnancy loss and miscarry over and over. So, you should be reassured that you will have a great chance for a healthy pregnancy. Best wishes.
