I am 5 weeks pregnant and my doctor prescribed me 10mg duphaston twice a day and progesterone suppositories 200mg twice a day. i feel like it's too much. i am a 1st time mom with no history of miscarriage. ?

5 w pregnant ?'s: If your physician began treatment at "5w of pregnancy" with progesterone, and it was b/c of bleeding, it is not unusual for a miscarriage to occur with first pregnancies, but unfortunately this amount of progesterone will not usually prevent a miscarriage. If the pregnancy continues, an ultrasound in the next two weeks will provide reassurance.
