Flossing: A child should start flossing as soon as the teeth come out and have no spaces between them . If children have spaces between their teeth flossing is generally not required but it is important to start this habit as early as possible.

You have to do it: Kids don't have the eye-hand coordination to floss well until about age 10. Until then, you will have to floss only those teeth you don't want to get cavities between the teeth, where toothbrush can't reach. 1st dental ck-up age 1, when questions about flossing, fluorides, development of teeth and jaws, oral hygiene, sealants, etc can be reviewed. If your child has not seen dentist, please go.
