The : The dressing is put in place to help protect the area and allow the graft to heal undisturbed. It is usualy removed in 1-2 weeks time because after that period it is not needed and it can impede the normal healing of the graft. Hope this helps.

No: Stitches should dissolve or be removed, depending on type by one week. Longer than that they just attract bacteria. Their only purpose is to bring tissue together so the repair can take place. This is called closure. The packing also is usually removed at this time. Sometimes your surgeon may elect to re pack for protection after suture removal.
