Probably : Probably what you have developed is edema (swelling) of the lower extremities. That is probably because you have history of high blood pressure and it allows for fluid to stay in your legs longer than it should. You might have some venous insufficiency as well. What i would recommend is the following: 1. Visit your pcp and ask them to give you a prescription for a diuretic, if they haven't already done so. 2. Get a venous doppler ultrasound test on both of your legs to check for venous insufficiency. 3. Get some otc or prescription compression stockings and wear them in order to get the swelling down. 4. Visit your podiatrist for further evaluation and treatment.
