Pain & mild swelling in shin x 3 days. began over a 2hr period. moves down to a top of ankle and top of foot. sitting down, ankle hurts most. standing, shin hurts most. leg and foot sore to touch. hurts to flex/point ankle. feels better in a.m. ?

Shin,ankle pain: I assume that you have no recent injury or overuse from jogging,etc. If so, rest for a few days. If you have a tender spot in the shin, there could be a crack or stress fracture there. I recommend having a physician or orthopedic surgeon examine your leg and ankle. Any appropriate xrays or bone scan can then be ordered.
