Steroids : Steroids can significantly affect wound healing, resulting in higher rates of infection and other issues. This can further be exacerbated when using an implant [in your case a chin impant] i would strongly recommend considering discussing any elective cosmetic surgery with your rheumatologist and your plastic surgeons so you can adequately review and understand the risks in your particular situation.

Healing: Steriods generally slow down the healing process as they affect the biosynthesis of collagen. Collagen is a major protein made by the body in healing and forming scars. You will need to discuss this with your surgeon who may or may not want you to be off the steroid for a period of time around the surgery.
