A lot.: Mania is a state of hyperactivity and excitability both physically and mentally that impairs normal functioning, decision making and social interaction. As mania progresses a person may become aggressive, self destructive, even suicidal or homicidal. Often psychosis occurs where one may be delusional, paranoid and hallucinatory.Grandiosity, insomnia days at a time and foolish spending are common.
