My family member recently became psychotic (seems scizophrenic). seemed over night in a matter of months. pacing, speaking jiberish, hand movements. some meds making manic. stayed in hospital made him leave after 2 weeks. what do we do? we dont know?

He should not have left the hospital without a follow up plan and an appointment for follow up care. Call his psychiatrist or therapist. If there is none, suggest you return to the ER for a new assessment and plan. Be involved in his care . You can advocate for appropriate care on his behalf. Call your local chapter of National alliance for aMentally I’ll (NAMI) and discuss resources with them

Unlikely that you can manage this at home. Recommend returning to hospital ER, and get this re-evaluated. Contact the psychiatrist and primary doc. Get proactive and assertive. Get second opinion if necessary.
