A member asked:

Is light therapy effective for seasonal depression?

5 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Yes: But not in all cases. To be effective light therapy has to be consistent with the correct light frequencies and be convenient to do or it isn't rigorously used or effective. Antidepressant medication and counseling may also be necessary, especially when major depression or anniversary types of depression are a part of it.

Many pts say yes: Many of my sad pts say it helps them. Many benefit from wellbutrin (bupropion) as well.
