Maybe : Maybe it accentuated an ongoing process. Bruxism is a common malady that increases with age and stress. It can totally destroy your dentition if left unchecked. Most people can avert the damage caused by this with appliances like the nti that don't permit the teeth to wear down and keep your muscles relaxed.

Possibly: If a filling is high you may grind on it to get rid of the unusual sensation in your sleep. If a filling feels high, please go see the dentist as soon as possible to have it adjusted.

Possible: A filling or crown that is too high can cause you to hit that spot first and grind. This can be very painful and cause sensitivity and even damage the tooth. Go back to the dentist and make sure the dental restorations are not too high. It might not even be poor dental work. Sometimes when you are numb, the patient doesn't bite down correctly and the dentist can't get the restoration adjusted.

No: Grinding or clenching are habits that have a relationship with stress, nothing to do with poor dental work.
