What is the procedure done to correct a single ventricle?

Multiple: Single ventricle cannot be corrected, but a more normal circulation of blood is accomplished through a series of surgeries (most commonly three separate operations). The first is performed shortly after birth; the second around six months of age and the third at a few years of age.

Complicated: A complicated surgical repair done early in infancy.
