RV enlargement: Suggests the right ventricle is encountering increased resistance when it pumps blood to the lungs. Common causes: pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary valve stenosis &/or regurgitation, high altitude, copd, cardiac fibrosis, athletic heart, congenital anomalies like tetralogy of fallot or ventricular septal defect. Cardiologist can test for these conditions & offer options.
