There : There are many causes of back pain. These include problems in the spinal vertebrae, disks, facet joints, spinal cord, nerves, muscles and ligaments. There are also many treatments for back pain problems including medications, physical therapy, back strengthening, accupuncture, chiropractic manipulations, steroid injections and surgery, but not limited to these treatments. I try to discuss these options with patients when determining treatment because no one treatment works for all patients. A treatment that works good for one person may not work for another person. I have had many patients who benefit from chiropractic treatments. Therefore I do not hesitate to recommend them. If it does not help then we explore other treatments. I would prefer to see patients pain successfully treated by chiropractor then by pain medicine. Most doctors probably do not refer patients to chiropracters because they are not familar with their treatments and outcomes.

Chiropractors ok: There are many causes of back pain. Often times an alignment along with a therapeutic massage will help. If this does not help, see your md.
