Please continue to see your dentist and your doc. Medical conditions need to be ruled out or identified. You may be fixated on that part of your body and sensitive to feelings there. Consider a clinical psychologist as well. He/she can help w/anxiety disorder and health phobia if that is part of the issue. Peace and good health.

This is just a guess, but my speculation is that this may be some kind of viral infection that’s affecting your skin and right trigeminal nerve (viral neuritis). If so, it will likely go away on its own. Your doc is half right: stress may have made you more susceptible to a viral infection, but the “stress” itself isn’t causing your symptoms. If it doesn’t go away, bug her till she pays attention.
