The : The good news is that you have seen your doctor, obviously the Clonidine was not controlling your BP alone. Hopefully with the addition of benicar, (olmesartan) your BP will improve, the important point here is to mantain close follow up with your doctor until your BP is stable and under control. Limit your salt intake, eat a healthy diet, and exercise. If you develop chest pain, extreme headaches, or other symptoms please contact your doctor right away or present to your nearest urgent care or er. Take good care.
