Depends: There is a common expression"it takes a village to raise a child" & this fits with the flexability of kids starting at birth. Newborns are quite accepting of multiple caregivers & develop attachment & separation anxiety later as they realize their primary caregivers are more dependable.Cultures that limit non parent interaction increase dependency & separation fear. The answer is culturally driven.

Depends: Since different children mature at different rates there is not a standard chronological age that fits every child for being the "best time" to be away from parents. Furthermore, the comfort of each individual child will also depend upon whom she will be placed. Typically, the two year old toddler is more suspicious & anxious of those less familiar to her; yet willingly accompanies a familiar aunt.
