It : It is possible that you have a fungal infection or maybe eczema or psoriasis. I would recommend that you consider trying Lamisil (terbinafine) cream over the counter for a week or so. Also, consider using powders (like gold bond or other starchy powder) in the area to keep your feet from being too moist and macerated. If not improved after a week or so, consider seeing a dermatologist who can evaluate the area, make an accurate diagnosis, and prescribe medication to help you.

Peeling skin: If your skin is 'raw' as you state , you first has to heal that . Then you can begin an antifungal - if it fungus. See your podiatrist for help. Good luck.
