What are the side effects of laser eye operations for ophthalmic strokes?

Depends: Lots of assumptions here. Assuming you are referring to either a artery or vein occlusion of the retina ("ophthalmic stroke"), laser is sometimes done to the retina to prevent further damage. Common side effects are minimal pain during the procedure and loss of vision wherever the laser procedure is done. Vision is already likely gone from the area if laser is being considered.
