Maybe: -6.00 is a moderately high amount of myopia. If your eyes have been checked with a dilated exam and your retinas are healthy, you need not worry about the prescription. Patients with your level of myopia are usually candidates for laser vision correction if they have thick enough corneas to permit the surgery to be done. You need to go see a lasik surgeon to find out.
