Try : Try to eat small frequent meals with high protein (as long as you have no kidney problems). Avoid alcohol. Do not take any herbs without telling your doctor. If you are on Aspirin be sure to ask your doctor if you need to hold it for the surgery. Try to enlist your friends/family to help you and give you support for after the surgery. Try to fill your refrigerator/pantry with food for when you get home so you don't have to go shopping. Ask your doctor for your prescriptions ahead of time so that you won't have to go to the pharmacy.
