A member asked:

Why shouldn't people exercise before they go to bed?

May cause insomnia: Exercise is very important; however, late exercise, especially if it is vigorous exercise, can cause insomnia (difficulty falling asleep or difficulty staying asleep) because of the higher adrenaline levels (a potent stimulant) that occur because of the exercise activity. If night time exercise is you only choice, light or moderate exercise would be better.

Can effect sleep: Although you may feel tired after a good workout, exercise is stimulating to your body. Exercising before bed may prevent you from falling asleep effectively.
