How long does caffiene take to leave the body?

4-6 hours: The half-life (time required for the body to eliminate 1/2 of the toal amount) of caffeine in healthy adults is about 4-6 hours. factors such as age, liver function, medications and hormonal states (pregnancy, etc) can influence the half-life of caffeine.

Long time: The half life of ingested caffeine is about 5 hours. After 5 hours half of the caffeine taken leaves your body, but the remainder may take many hours or the next day for all of it to leave your body but regular users wouldn't notice it's effect after several hours as their body is resistant to it.
