Sleep deprivation: This may be an indication of sleep deprivation from chronic sleep apnea. A sleep study is indicated.

Deep sleep: You sleep more soundly than you think. In the light stages of sleep, you are easily aroused and awakened. In the deeper stages of sleep (rem) you are partially paralyzed, tissue begins to block the airway, and you snore. But you are so deeply asleep, that you are unaware of it. You will go through several cycles of rem sleep each night, and will never know it.

The people who snore: The least they know about their issues. It is up to their love one to bring to their attention and have them do sleep studies and get treatment.
