A : A hysterectomy is indicated in many situations. The most common being: abnormal vaginal bleeding uterine/ovarian cancer pre-cancerous conditions pelvic pain due to fibroids or endometriosis uterine prolapse the symptoms you described in your post are very vague and can be attributed to many things such as a urinary tract infection (uti), pelvic/vaginal infection. I suggest you make an appointment with your primary care provider for evaluation. Good luck.

Hysterectomy ?: Hysterectomy is the most frequently performed major surgery in the USA. There are relatively few serious indications for this kind of surgery. Severe pelvic pain, heavy intractable bleeding (fibroids or adenomyosis), uterine prolapse from difficult deliveries to name a few. Usually pelvic pain can be relieved by more conservative approaches. Talk to your gyn physician, but ask questions !!
