Occasionally, : Occasionally, patients with moderate to severe episodes of conjunctivitis (pink eye) can develop scarring. This scarring can look like a white patch. If this is bothersome, this should be looked at by an ophthalmologist.

Possible scar: "pink eye" is caused by a virus. Some time after active infection an inflammatory membrane is left behind and that can appear as a white patch. If you have doubt you should see an ophthalmologist to have it checked out.
