Hair : Hair loss has many different causes, which may be different for both men and women. Regardless of your gender, you should have a medical work up to make sure you are not dealing with a thyroid issue, anemia, hormonal problem like pregnancy or menopause (obviously an issue if you are a woman), and scalp infections. In reality hair loss is less likely caused by a medical problem, however it is typically due to pre-determined genetic factors, family history, and aging. To answer the second part of your question, a multi-vitamin (mvi) may help, and has actually been shown to improve this problem in some. A MVI (multivitamin) will likely be especially effective if anemia is the underlying cause, however it will probably take effect in about 3-6 months, but in this case iron supplementation may be a better alternative. As far as what you can do to make this stop happening, the answer is not so simple. It will depend on the underlying cause and wheter you are male or female. Please seek a medical consultation at your earliest convenience. Good luck.
