Periosteal : Periosteal reaction may be from the blunt trauma or could be from infection. Wounds should be debrided and deep cultures taken. Infections with multiple bacterias should be treated aggressively and a consultation with an infectious diseases specialist should be sought. Best of luck.

No: It could mean inflammation near the bone affecting the lining around the bone called e periosteum. If i doubt amir can be done to look for other indications for a bone i fiction. Fr example home marrow swelling.
