I have migraines, how likely is it my child will suffer from the also? i have had migraines since i was a child, is it correct this is a hereditary condition? how likely is it a future child of mine would also develop them?

Migraines : Migraines are definitely hereditary. 4 out of 5 migraine sufferers have a family history of migraines. Since you are a migraine sufferer, your children have a 50% chance of developing them. If the father also has migraines, then the risk jumps up to 75%. Some Correlation: While there is not a genetic marker or known gene, migraines can run in families. Not all children of migraine sufferers will have migraines.
