Scabies : Scabies is spread by skin to skin contact. It is unusual for scabies to be passed on by sharing towels, clothes, swimming pools, pets, etc. As long as skin to skin contact is avoided, the risk is very low for contracting scabies.

Scabies: Every one in the household needs to be treated for scabies at the same time otherwise scabies can be passed to everyone in the house. If the whole family has been treated correctly there is no need for you to worry. On a person, scabies mites can live for as long as 1-2 months. Off a person, scabies mites usually do not survive more than 48-72 hours. Scabies mites die at 122 degrees for 10 min.
