Yesterday at the hospital i received a pep and vaccine for rabies as the beginning of the rabies series treatment. is it normal to receive a shot in arms, legs, buttocks and then 4 or 5 shots around the bite area? i read the vaccine is only 4 doses?

Go to CDC and Indy state board of health to see what is used there. Trust it will work otherwise almost always fatal if you have it. Good luck.
