Short : Short answer is that you likely have a high metabolism and thats why you get hungry so fast. There are other factors involved. If you eat fruits and veggies those are digested faster and you get hungry quicker. However if you eat pasta, that tends to be filling for longer periods of time. Also protein fills you up faster. Some basics: If you consume carbs like breads/sugars/white potato/rice it triggers a quick rise in blood sugar & rapid insulin response, driving the blood sugar down & making you hungry. If you consume proteins (meats, vegies) or fats there is slower insulin response & less appetite drive. Satiety is a complex interplay between your dietary choices the bodies response.
