See your doctor!: You may have acute bronchitis. Most cases of acute bronchitis are caused by viruses, but are typically gone after two weeks. You may now have a superimposed bacterial infection. Your physician can help determine if you need a chest x-ray, antibiotics, or just more time. Other things that could cause your symptoms include untreated acid reflux and post-nasal drainage.
