What will the doctors do during surgery to fix my hydrocele?

Close the opening: The main procedure to fix an adult hydrocele is to make an incision in the scrotum and find the sac that surrounds the testicle and is filled with fluid. The surgeon drains the fluid and removes the sac so that more fluid can't accumulate. It's an outpatient procedure that usually takes about 45 minutes.

See below: During repair of a hydrocele, the scotum is incised and the hydrocele sac incised. All the hydrocele fluid is evacuated. The sac is then turned inside out and sutured to itself behind the cord structures so that fluid does not reacuumulate. The incision is then closed in multiple layers with absorbable suture material.
