Yes, : Yes, bright red blood in the stool should be assessed right away. While it could be from medications that can irritate the GI tract lining, it cold also be a more serious condition. Bright red blood is a sign of active bleeding. Take her to a doctor. If she is dizzy, light headed or feeling abdominal pain, call 911.
