Rectal Bleeding: If this is a first time event, and you are otherwise feeling well, and you are young and healthy, then you might monitor for recurrence or worsening, and then see a doctor. If there is a lot of pain, or you feel short of breath, feel like passing out, or have a fever, or otherwise feel ill in association, then you might want to see a doctor now.

Blood in stool: To be on safe side, if it occurs again & you have other symptoms such as pain or change in bowel habits, consult your doctor.
