Since : Since both of these medications lower your blood sugar, always report signs and symptoms of low blood sugar to your doctor including: sweating, extreme thirst, blurry vision, difficulty speaking, loss of coordination, siezure, dizziness, cold sweats and loss of consciousness. Side effects specific to Levemir (insulin detemir) include weight gain, pitting or thickening of skin at the injection site, skin reaction at injection site and low blood sugar. Side effetcs specific to NovoLog include pitting or thickening of skin at the injection site, skin reaction at injection site and low blood sugar, and low potassium levels (especially when given intravenously). Also, always report any allergic reactions to your doctor such as hives, rash, swelling of the mouth/throat (go to ed) and itching.
