I : I dont even talk about a, b, c, d, etc sizes. Bra companies vary by cup size. I wouuld like to be more precise ie 30cc = 1oz. We use the "rice trick"= put 11 to 12 oz. In a nylon which equals 330-360cc.Buy a inexpensive bra and try it on. Go bigger or smaller till u get the size u like. I try to stay within the range the manuf. Suggests. Final sizing should be done with you and your board cert. Plastic surgeon.

Disposable : Disposable single-use sterile sizers are available for this purpose and your surgeon may have made use of one of these. In the event that your surgeon temporarily overfilled your implant, i would not be overly concerned about the warranty. The implications of ong term overfilling of implants in regards to the rupture rates are not clear and the warranty policies will vary by manufacturer.

Some do: There are several ways to determine the appropriate size for implants. Some physicians will measure you and select an implant size based on your proportions. Others will pick a size that they think is right for you. I usually have patients try on implants with a bra and a tight t shirt to see what they like the best. This helps to determine proportion and overall look.

Sizing?: Every plastic surgeon's practice is different. I use temporary sizers during breast augmentation surgery to help determine which breast implant size/profile will estimate a patient's goals. The use of these sizes, careful measurements (dimensional planning), and careful preoperative communication all help to achieve patient's goals as consistently as possible. I hope this helps.

Yes: In my practice i usually use sizers to see what size is perfect for the breast prior to placing the permanent implants. It is not usual for all surgeons so therefore you should ask your specific surgeon prior to the operation.

I usually do not: I think it is most important to have a discussion with the patient pre-operatively so i can figure out what the patients goals are for breast augmentation. From that discussion, most plastic surgeons will be pretty confident that the implant we select together will be the right one. In some cases, we can use temporary sizers if there is a question that needs to be resolved in the or - rarely.

Breast augmentation: Typically the choices are made in the office ahead of time with measurements, implant sizers and photographs so that the majority of the time it is very straightforward in the operating room.
