A member asked:

How long will it take for the stitches inside my scrotum to dissolve after hydrocele surgery?

6 weeks: It depends on the surgeon since various types of suture can be used in this type of surgery. It will generally take about 6 weeks to 2 months, depending on the suture type, for the sutures to dissolve but it will take much longer for the healing process and post-operative changes to gradually resolve.

2-3 weeks: Depending on what type of sutures is used. Occasionally, longer if by design.
