Not normal: By age 57 your body is in menopause, so this type of bleeding (postmenopausal bleeding) is abnormal. U really need to be seen to be checked for 'dangerous' causes: endometrial cancer or precancerous cells; polyps in the uterus, fibroid tumors can cause; certain ovarian tumors can cause, or sometimes - menopause can cause such thinning of the lining(endometrium) that it is unstable and bleeds rando.

Abnormal bleeding: Any irregular or excessive bleeding that is different from what you usually experience should be discussed with a doctor. It might be a normal process related to aging or weight gain, but you want to make sure that it isn't anything worse, like an infection or cancer. Start tracking your bleeding on a calendar to help your doctor understand what's going on.
