Mirena IUD ?'s: "Two and one half years" without bleeding may be due to both the Mirena (contains progestins which can inhibit ovulation) and/or long cycles w/o ovulation, allowing thickening of the endometrium which can break down secondary to irregular estrogen production. See your gyn physician for an exam and testing to be certain.
