I'm : I'm glad you're limiting candy. There's really none that's good for her, although there are plenty without gluten. Does she like fruit? Delicious, in season local fruit is a great way to satisfy a sweet tooth. But in addition to sugar, there is fiber and there are all kinds of nutrients and vitamins in fruit that most all candies lack. That being said, if you're dealing with a holiday or birthday or some other occasion when fruit just won't be acceptable, try lolly pops, candy corn, jelly beans, or licorice.

Read labels/research: The food and drug administration requires that food items sold in this country list the ingredients. For those of us with food allergies, the top 8 are usually listed at the bottom in a separate list. Wheat is your main item to avoid and is used in many items. If your kid likes a particular item and you can't find the ingredients, you can usually find find them on the net.
