Yeast : Yeast is a fungus and antibiotics are not the treatment. Anti-fungal medications can be bought over the counter as they are safe and easy to use. Clotrimazole 1% cream works well and you can by it in a pharmacy in the vaginal medication section. Use it with an applicator to put in the vagina and then also use on the vulva for 7 days. If this does not help the itching and symptoms then you need to see your health care provider because it might not be yeast. Yeast is also not really cured, you treat the symptoms to make it less but yeast is all around us and many women will have small amounts of yeast all the time so you want to do things that prevent yeast from growing enough to give you symptoms. Avoid tight clothing, don't sleep in your underwear, don't sit around in wet bathing suits, etc... Basically any habit that would make a fungus grow. And last, high sugar use or diabetes can also make for more yeast.
