Sorry : Sorry it took so long to answer this question. The treatment options for this region depend largely on two things, skin tone and lipodystrophy (excess fat). Thus, things like age, current weight, and weight gain/loss history are important in determine treatment options. A great outcome occurs when the appropriate treatment is paired with the problem at hand. Liposuction is the most likely option, but this is only a good option when skin elasticity is intact. Good skin elasticity is generally present in those who are relatively young and who have not had dramatic shifts in weight. When one loses excess weight, the skin may not rebound. So when liposuction is performed, only yields great results when the skin retracts. If skin elasticity is poor (i.e. If stretch marks are present) direct excision of skin and involved fat may be required. A physical exam would be required to give a more detailed assessment. A free consultation can be attained from most plastic surgeons. Liposuction is generally $1000 to $2000 per region. Direct excision may cost $1500 to $3000 depending on the location of your physician and experience. Stick with surgeons who are board certified by the american board of plastic surgeons. Hope this helps!

Fullness : Fullness in the axilla (armpit) is usually caused by fat or breast tissue. If the bulges are soft, it is more likely fat, and liposuction can remove areas of disproportionate fat. If the area is firm, direct excision of the fullness would be needed, and to be certain that it is normal tissue. If the skin is loose, or will becomes loose after the removal of the deeper tissues, some skin may also need to be removed. It is difficult to give specific advise without seeing you. If you truly wish to do something about the area, obtain a consultation from a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.

Not : Not seeing your particular case i would think options include liposuction or direct surgical excision. This depends on wherher the tissue is breast tissue or fatty tissue. This could be doen by a plastic surgeon preferably.

Two : Two types of treatment: liposuction or excision and sometimes a combination of the two. It all depends on the excess tissue and whether it is mostly fatty with reasonable skin tone (liposuction) or mostly loose skin with mininal fat (excision). The scar can be confined to high up in the armpit or may require a longer scar down the arm. Recovery 1 week with liposuction only, 2-3 weeks with an excisional procedure. Price differs geographically but liposuction would be less, perhaps in the $2000-3000 range whereas an excisional procedure may be more in the $4000-5000 range.
