Go : Go to the er...Go directly to the er! do not eat a sandwich, nor anything else for that matter! the vagus nerve is not associated with sensory signals from the upper extremities. It starts in the brainstem and wanders throughout the neck, chest, and abdomen to control a variety of organ functions. The symptoms you are describing are more typical of a heart attack. Any abnormal heart rhythm should be evaluated immediately in an emergency room. Even something like atrial fibrillation can cause blood clots to the brain (a stroke).
